TEAM RACING REQUIREMENTS

For 2017 we are allowing people to register as a team! If you cant make it to a race, then you can have someone from your team race and the points will go the team instead of just one driver.

Teams must be formed before the season starts.

You can have up to 3 people on your team.

The rig you start the day off in must be the rig you finish the day in, but you can race a different rig at the next race.

You can swap drivers from one hill to the next, but your team only gets one run per race hill.

You can only race for one team, and if your rig is used in a team, then that rig can only race for that team that day.

Example: TEAM BLUE May consist of Randall, Steve, and Luke. (this is not a real team only an example) If they decide to use Randalls rig  at Race A, then any one of them can race the first hill and then change drivers for the next hill, but they will have to use the same on the 2nd hill as well. The next race they may decide to use different rig so Steve can drive on hill #1 and Luke can drive on hill #2. The team will get the points, and the purse winnings will go to the team, not just the driver.

You are NOT required to be on a team, this is just something we came up with to help not lose points because of work or emergencies. You can’t change teams halfway through the season. If you decide you don’t want to be on a team anymore then you can race solo, but your points will start over.

Example: TEAM RED may consist of Frank, Jonathan, and Martin. (this is not a real team, only an example) If they decide to register as a team for Race A, but decide to race solo for Race B, then their points will start over for the 2nd race. If Frank wants to continue to run as TEAM RED, then he will keep the points from the first race.

Hopefully this isn’t too confusing, but if it is, or if you have any questions about your team, then feel free to contact us and we will try to explain and give you the answers you are looking for. The reasons behind this decision is because we had several racers, last year, have things come up that made them miss a race and really hurt their chances at the points championship. This is just another way we are trying to make this sport more enjoyable, and affordable for everyone!
